AR387 – George Todorovski and Rene Vriends

On tonight’s show, we have George Todorovski and Rene Vriends joining us, discussing art stuff, colouring books and the general nature of comic books and stuff.

I first met George and Rene Fan Expo in Toronto a couple of years ago. They were in the artist alley (where else would they be, right?), plugging away at selling a few books and art prints.

Remember conventions? Yeah, I do, too.

Now, George and Rene are putting out a lovely colouring book filled with some of George’s heavily detailed line art, and edited by Rene.

First published at the age of 14, artist and writer George Todorovski has worked in illustration, comics, TV and Film through out a very diverse artistic career. From the Sci-Fi Cyberpunk story The Living City published by Heavy Metal Magazine to recent interior page illustrations for the cover story of the newest issue of the acclaimed Amazing Stories Magazine and pencils and inks for the very successful comic Kickstarter Oktana & Ko issue 3 by Yuriy Levytskyy. He’s also produced art, design work and animation for film and television including Though The Wormhole With Morgan Freeman and the pilot episode of Tugger The Ship by Lovely Studios.

 Now he is bringing a new book out where sci-fi fans around the world can take part in the art itself by adding your colours to the quintessential Sci-Fi Colouring Book!
