Way back when in December of the old 2016, as part of an initiative of the Great Lakes Horror Company, Group Hex Volume 1 was decanted. I had the great good fortune to meet Lizz at the release party showcasing many wonderful authors and artists. I have a largish poem in that volume, and Lizz was the awesome artist who did the artwork that prefaced my entry in that anthology (PS: go get it, it’s on Amazon.)
Since then, Lizz has grown as both artist and content creator. Jen Roomes, Tina Sixx and Lizz gathered together and birthed “An Old Skool Xeroxed Style Toronto ‘Zine'” called, “Crapnation.” Since that fateful time, they’ve put out 14 issues, of raw, punk / goth material. Check them out on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and their website! Oh, and look for the online live event, “Crapnation – Halloweenie Special.” Covid style, as it were.
And if that was not enough to keep one soul, busy, Lizz is also a part of “Dr. M’s MAD Mausoleum”. (Mitch Markowtiz from The Hilarious House of Frightenstein approves of their show. Mysterion is the official caretaker of the Castle.) So much stuff. So many souls and creepy things to take part in.
